Kate Saffin
Kate Saffin is a writer and performer based on the Oxford Canal. She has written and performed several one woman plays in Tooley's Boatyard based on the lives of working canal boat folk: ''A Boat's yer Whole World''; based on the novel Ramlin Rose: A Boatwoman's Story by Sheila Stewart.〔http://www.scotsman.com/news/a-boat-s-yer-whole-world-1-727591〕 ''A Boat of Ill Repute'' about a brothel on a narrowboat on the Oxford Canal and ''Isobel's War'' about the women who worked the boats during World War II.
